About

"The trees are telling us what is wrong, we must open our eyes and listen."

The Manitoba Urban Forest Council was formed by several individuals from various sectors of the urban forest industry including municipalities, the provincial government, the International Society of Arboriculture, educational institutions and the arboriculture industry.

Each felt the need for a collective organization to represent the urban forest industry in Manitoba, but also, the need to connect people and combine efforts in protecting our urban forests.

The Manitoba Urban Forest Council is governed by a set of by-laws and is run by the founding  Board of Directors. These positions will become elected positions in June 2021.
